Back on the road again. It feels good to be on the move. This is why we have wheels, to see new places and enjoy the countryside as it passes by. But enough of waxing philosophical, Carmen is ready to go.
Its a 5 hour drive to Tucson so we take our time and enjoy the scenery. Soon its time to stop for lunch at a road side picnic area. Carmen actually went for a walk through the scub; when we first came to the south she wouldn't leave the trails because of snakes. I guess she's becoming more confident or maybe she just forgot about them. I didn't remind her.

After a relaxing drive to Tucson we arrive at Voyager RV Resort. If the entrance is any indication, this will be a very nice park. The entrance sign says they were voted number 1 RV park in America for 3 years; haven't we gone lah de dah!
This park is huge! They have us follow a pilot car to our site. I guess too many motor homes ran out of fuel trying to find their sites. Any one of the streets in this park is longer than all the streets combined at the Shangri-La. Here there are around 1500 sites; there were 300 in Yuma.
Finally we find our site and get backed in and hooked up. The sites aren't anything special but the parks claim to fame is its activities and facilities. The activity sheets they gave us at check in run around 12 pages for February; there was 1 page in Yuma. I guess we'll be kept busy.
As the sun sets on the first day of our new adventure we get treated to a beautiful sunset.
I think this place will be just fine.
