But wait, the alternator's not working and its the day before we leave. With Dick (our family mechanics) help we get a new one and I put it in. Now we're ready to go.
We pull out of the Sexsmith area and head for Edmonton on a beautiful crisp day. If it wasn't for the UFO's Carmen took a picture of, it would have been a boring day indeed. After 7 hours we get to my mom's place in Leduc. Diesel is still in short supply and we fill up at Drayton Valley, but they will only give us a part tank. We are using about 6 liters a day to keep Harvey (thats our name for our motor home; you know, Harvey: Arvey: RV, get it?) from freezing up. Anyway, back to diesel, we should have enough for a few day stop but we'll need to fill up right away once we get moving again.
Here we are parked in front of mom's place for the next few days. Hope it doesn't snow on us.
